It seems the morrow has brought me a clearer mind. I'm so happy that we have a three day weekend. I've already gotten most of my homework done, now all I really need to do before Tuesday is get my music right for the test in band.
Later...
Not fair! Whyyyy?! I kept forgetting about "The Game" and thus kept forgetting that I was going to post about it. And now Emma seems to have snatched away my chance at being the first around our little community to do so. AUGH!!! pout* Oh well... In other news.... I just love Halloween don't you? It's such a fun little occasion. This year I've decided that I'm going to be Medusa. I'm going to braid my hair into a bunch of little braids and I also plan to design some sort of snake head piece. I've also found a good site that shows how to make various different ancient Greek and Roman costumes. At the moment I'm trying to decide between doing a doric or ionic peplos for the main garment. Anyway, has anyone else thought about their Halloween costume yet? Has anyone even thought about Halloween yet? I know this is super early, but I like to plan out my costume.
Later Later...
Well now it's time to sleep again. I just got back from the monon with my mom and Winston and Spencer and I realized that I'd never posted what I had written earlier. Anyway, I'm awfully tired so it's off to bed early for me. Nighty night everybody.

Bruised Knees
It's 11:13pm and I'm tired. I'm sore and I'm sleepy, and yet unwilling to relax in bed. I'm writing a post, but I have difficulty finding a topic. I struggle to summon words. Hmmm. Hmmm. Perhaps the morrow will bring me clearer of mind and thought. Ah well. Let me see. On Monday I was ill and consequently stayed home from school. Tuesday was a quick catch up on what I missed. Wednesday was not really memorable although I did go rollerblading(this I have become quite fond of) Friday, today, I was... needlessly apprehensive towards a 3 quarters of a mile race in gym which turned out fine(I did not realize it was only 3/4 of a mile, prior to the race I had thought it was somewhere around 1 1/2 miles which I still shouldn't have been so nervous of) I was also quite elated today towards it's being Friday, I went rollerblading(again) after school, and now I've also become fairly anxious towards a test in band class on Tuesday which I really need to practice for. All week my knees have been sore, due to a fall on the gym floor maiming one, and a little trip which sort of strained the other. I have a headache(likely my body telling me I should be asleep) Augh! Many thoughts race in and out my head. Band, math homework, project that needs to incorporate "Word Within a Word" prefixes, critique of a book, alas these are too many thoughts along with countless others. I may post tomorrow, I hope to show a picture of my new felted Winston fur pendant. Ha! But for now it's off to bed for this tired and rambling one. G'night all.

Censorship Is Wrong Foo'
Well I just finished my essay on censorship and Fahrenheit 451 (I really only mentioned the book twice in the writing) I'm quite surprised at the fact that my journal for social studies turned out waaaay longer. Although I'd say the essay was written a little better. Either way I'm happy 'cause I'm done! Wooh! And it's only 12:40. Now all I need to do is go to the library to get a book for Monday. Apparently we need a book by Monday for language arts that we're going to write an essay on that will be due at the end of the quarter. I'm not really sure what type of book we're supposed to get. I was figuring it was just supposed to be on a topic we'd like to write about so I'm just going to go with some good old historical fiction. That won't be too difficult to write about. I'm just hoping Mrs. Carter (I've had three last name Carter teachers now in my schooling...this is odd) will approve one of the books I pick. On another unrelated note, I now have the little felted ball of Winston fur as a pendent on a necklace and I plan to wear it on Monday. Anyway I'm off, I really need to go outside now that I've finished all my homework. :D

Sneezing
Well, today has been well spent I suppose. I finished all of my homework except for the essay on Fahrenheit 451 which I can easily finish up tomorrow. I also felted a tiny penny sized ball out of Winston's fur. It is very soft, and I used lavender soap to felt it so it smells good. Augh! I just cannot stop sneezing and coughing! My throat is pretty sore and my nose is, although not congested, very dry and sore. I'm not sure how else to describe it. I guess I'm coming down with a little cold or something. I'm hoping to go rollerblading on the monon again tomorrow. I'm becoming quite fond of my new roller blades. Anyway, with not much else to write about it's off to bed soon. I'm tired! ...You know I think I'm always tired. :P G'night all! (Also, sorry for the fact that this post is pitiful, in size and in general content, I just haven't much to write about, maybe I'll do something interesting, or I'll have some big philosophical posts soon, but until then I'm going to sleep... And think... But mostly sleep.)

It'll Do
Yay! Yay! Yay! My joy tolls like a bell. Over and over in my head the conscience yells, "Good Job!" "Yay!" "Congrats!" "Yay!" "You're Done!" "Yay!" "Hooray!" I've finished my homework. I've studied the books. I'm free. Now what?
So, I'm already getting sick of doing homework. Finishing one sheet feels like quite the accomplishment. You know what I really don't like about school? Getting home and feeling like the day is already over. I get home from school and I still have to do homework, eat dinner, ready for bed, and I end up with only a bit of time to do anything else. It's as if the school day that confines me, restricts me, and robs me of my creative free time never even ends. Ah well, at least there's a weekend right? If only it were four days of school and three days of weekend. Alas a two day weekend is enough anyway. I guess I don't mind school too much. I just wish it were a little shorter. Or a little more interesting. But it's really good enough. It's a privilege right? We're fortunate to get to go to school to learn? Yeah, sure. It's all a small price to pay for learning. Aw, who am I kidding, school is fine. It's just been tiring me out recently. Like Emma last week I was really tired. I mean, I didn't even have sports to do and I was tired. Wake up early, get to bed early and yet as early as I try to get to bed, I'm never quite as awake at school as I am on the weekends.

Buddha Squirrel
Yesterday evening I went with my mom, Spencer, my grandmother, and my dog Winston to see a play outdoors at a park. The play was Shakespeare's "As You Like It" with original script and a narrator to explain what was going on. It was good, there were only like six actors so it was a small troupe, but a lot of other people were there to watch. After that we went to Coxhall Gardens, which was just nearby, to look around. And then on our way home we came upon many roundabouts, one of which had, and I'm almost positive this is what I saw, a soccer ball sized statue of a really really really fat squirrel. A Buddha squirrel if you will. Another "crazy random happenstance" on the car ride home was that after I said something about the Starbucks drinks that I like, Spencer started ranting and mocking me saying "Yeah I really like the nicotine swirls they put in my drinks, Yeah yeah very addicting, I love them, like so tasty, nicotine swirls. Yum." It was actually pretty funny. I guess you had to be there. Anyway, yay for weekend! And yay for rollerblades! I've gotten pretty good at using them, good enough I hope that I'm gonna go to the monon and attempt to skate along with my mom and Winston... and hopefully not fall.
Later...
My cousin Kelsey came over today and we swam and then I did some henna design on her arm. Then we had dinner and Kelsey and I went outside. I skated and she rode my scooter (that I hardly ever use unfortunately :P) and we went up and down the street. There's a fairly steep hill at the end of the cul-de-sac that Kelsey went down a bunch of times and the last time she ended up falling. Ha. I decided not to go down seeing as I would have fallen no matter thanks to the rollerblades. Anyway, today I also made a chocolate pudding pie so I'm gonna head down and eat that now. Have a nice weekend all! ...One more thing, Emma made me watch this thing called "Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog" and it was pretty funny so I made my cousin watch it to while she was over here. So now I think all of you need to watch it if you have yet to do so.

As You Like It
Yay! My rollerblades came today and I'm quite pleased. I've pretty much gotten the hang of them so that's good. I just need to figure out how to stop smoothly. I'm so happy it's Friday. It's been a good week but I've really tired out from it all. It'll be nice to have those two sweet days of weekend.

My Dog Plays Soccer
Well let's see. Today was pretty good. Especially since it was a Thursday meaning tomorrow is Friday which is well, great. I also discovered some important things to add to my school day routine. Also, after having finished my algebra homework just now and after having felt quite happy about getting it done I went out to kick the soccer ball around with Winston. He's actually quite good at soccer. I kick the ball and he'll go after it and guard it. It's so cute! He'll jump back and forth and he's really good at getting the ball around, I think soccer is definitely Winston's sport. So have you all enjoyed the week? I'm pretty satisfied with the turnout of mine now, I think this year will be a fairly enjoyable one. I'm contented with all my teachers and classes now so I'm excited to see how the year unfolds. sigh* My legs are sore but I'm not really sure why. I'm tired too. I think I'll get ready for bed soon. As I said before I love sleep. A lot of people might wonder why you'd enjoy sleep, that it's just something you have to do and that you can't really enjoy it. My main reason is the comfort of being in a bed, having that safe warmth of the covers, and the cushion of the bed and pillows and blankets, it's such a privilege. Plus I like the moments just before falling asleep and just after waking up, during both I do a lot of thinking. It's so meditative. Anyway enough of my sleep babble, I'm off. G'night all.
... :( sigh* Oh well.

What a Face Matured
Wow. Yesterday I was in such a pessimistic mood! Today went way better mainly because it wasn't all boring introductions and everything was no longer so unfamiliar. There are other small reasons also that added up to make day run a little happier and smoother. I just feel a lot better. Yesterday was full of anxiety and nervousness and the rush of the new school year. Whereas today I knew what I was doing and I'm already beginning to develop a routine of things. And now two more days and then the weekend. Ahh the weekend, always a pleasant thought for a tired mind and body. Both of which I bear at the moment. I'm really tired. I keep fighting to keep my eyes open so I think I'll head off to bed a little early today. Sigh* I'm actually sort of excited to see what tomorrow's school day brings. After my immense amount of complaining yesterday (it may not have happened on the blog, but it sure happened to those who I talked to that day) who would have thought I'd so quickly get over myself and try to enjoy school. I think that first day of school yesterday was less of a day and more of an outpouring of teen angst, apprehension, fear, nerves, and pure confusion wrapped up and disguised as a school day. But today was great! Or at least it was great in comparison. Either way I'm feeling good, tired*, but good. And now I'm gonna take a little cat nap, hopefully I'm tired enough that even if I try to sleep a little now I'll still be able to get to bed later. Fatigue is my only enemy in the wee hours of the night. One must always debate how it's terms will run their course. Will I be too sleepy for this, will I be awake then, could I get to bed even with that. I'm so tiiiiired, it's sleepy time. but first, wow, that so reminds me of being in kindergarten and having nap time with the pillow and towel on the floor. Oh how I miss nap time. I get so tired during the day. Yawn* I love nap time. I love sleeping. It's so rejuvenating and replenishing. It gives so much energy and it's so docile and calm and peaceful. I like being dead tired so then I can get in bed, curl up in the covers, and just sleep. So serene. Okay, all have a nice day. Now I'm off to have a nice nap. MMmmm, sleep. Yay. (please forgive my lack of onomatopoeia, but I don't really feel like writing it out because I actually am going to go sleep, I'm exhausted :D)

This Is Depressing
I had an OKAY first day of the new school year. If I can say anything at all it's that I hope tomorrow or at least sometime in the year is better. Sigh* I really don't have much to say. Today was quite boring. And more than once it was a let down of sorts. I thought I was kind of excited for school, but I didn't really see it coming. I wish I could escape.
Later...
I counted my poems and I now have 97 fair quality poems. They just accumulate and what am I to do with them? I think a book of poetry would be so nice.

It's Coming
1 day more. I am somewhat reluctant to start school. But we have no choice so might as well try to be happy about it.
Pros on Starting School
Also, I was doodling on my leg with a sharpie earlier and, wow, I never realized how potent the sharpie smell is. xP
Today I... got up at 9:30 after getting only 5 hours of sleep, saw my grandma, checked my email, read, wrote poetry, checked the blog, watched Olympics (wooh! More on Olympics later), went back to sleep and slept for three hours and consequently did not eat lunch, watched more Olympics, read, doodled, made pie, ate dinner, ate pie. I'm tired now so I'm headed to bed soon. Yawn* Anyway about the Olympics, has everyone been watching? What are your favorite events? Mine are the Men's diving and gymnastics. I'm so tired! I really need to get back in to the sleep routine so I can get up early for school. G'night all!
Pros on Starting School
- Seeing everyone
- Having stuff to do
- Getting to be with friends and other people everyday
- Seeing people
- Learning(I guess)
- ...I can't really think of many more...

Bringing It Back
Okay, wow, so I'm really really happy. Wanna know why? I got roller blades! I got them online but I'm pretty sure they'll fit me because I looked at the sizing and all and it seems they should fit. Yaaaaay! The main reason I'm so happy is because I've always wanted to try rollerblading but I've never gotten to it. I have never EVER even worn a pair of roller blades let alone tried skating in them. I really enjoyed when we did rollerskating in gym class plus I've grown somewhat fond of ice skating so I think I could really enjoy rollerblading. Also, I searched for arm warmers and fingerless gloves online and I found a lot of really cute ones. I just think they're so useful. Somewhat stylish, plus they keep you warm. The ones I made aren't really that good when I think back on it so I feel the need to get some made with either a knit or a t-shirt sort of fabric. But those can wait to be bought until fall when I'll actually be wearing them. Anyway enough talk about my shopping needs, how is everyone? Still good perhaps even happy I'm hoping. My grandparents are in town right now, so that's another thing for me to be happy about. I love my grandparents and well, all of my family. Family and friends. That's what matters.
Later....
I wrote some poetry today and I thought I'd share this one....

Lullaby
Oh sweet lullaby as calm as the ocean
Soothing as the waves
You who lull me
Your soft rhyming words like sweet nothings in my ear
With a tune light and gentle lead me to sleep, for I go willingly near
You lure me to lands of rest and of dreams
And for that I go not reluctant
So that I am almost unwilling to stay awake

Don't Fail Me Now
Yawn* I'm tired, and I may take a nap soon. Let's seee, today I hmmmm I emailed people, I rated shoes, I decided I'd like to learn how to rollerblade eventually, I sang a little, and I vacuumed. So, wow can you believe how fast the time has gone by? Back to school in *gasp!* 5 days! I'm kinda happy now that we're headed back to school. Okay maybe not happy, but I'm okay with it. I've spent my summer as I wish and now I don't mind getting back to school. Plus I'm excited for the new school year. It's gonna be fun... right? Let's hope so. So what are all of your feelings towards the new school year guys? I'm happy a lot of us are on the same teams although it stinks that poor Sophia is on visionaries while I'm on discoverers. sob!* We'll miss you Soph! Okay it's not lke she's moving but still, her locker isn't even near mine! Hopefully we'll all have the same lunch though. I certainly do not want to be that last lunch of the day. How awful! I'd starve. Actually it probably says my lunchtime on my schedule I just haven't checked yet which one I am. (runs and checks schedule*) So my extra team time is at 8th period... does that mean I have the last lunch???? NOOOOO! I'm going to die! I'm going to pass out in the middle of the day! I'll starve!!!!!!! ...actually, I'm kinda hungry right now. I'm gonna go get dinner in a bit. Milk and cheese sticks and biscuits. YuMMy! ... I really hope discoverers and visionaries have the same lunch. For anyone who wishes to know Soph and I think we're going to try to sit at the same table we did last year in the same spot if we have the same lunchtime so... yeah. (We're chatting in gmail right now.) Mom's calling me too dinner. ...Oh yeah and one more thing, I love the smell of dish soap. Especially Mrs. Meyers Lemon Verbena. Very soothing and strong scent.
Later...
Okay it's official, sewing is cool and I am awesome. Have you ever heard of fingerless gloves? :P This is one of the pair I made!....

And they can be in all kinds of fabric. Soooo, I got bored and decided to make some. I'm super happy with how they look. Anyway I think they're pretty fun. They are a teeny bit tight, but still, very cool. Right?

Thunder And Lightning Aren't So Frightning
Okay so, wow. Big storm last night, er well I mean it's only 8am so it's still going on, but I don't want to get up and do stuff because the rain makes it feel so much earlier that 8o'clock, but I'm not tired and I can't get back to bed because I know I should be up doing something. So I'm here! I just hope our house doesn't get struck by lightning. Ha! Of course, I think a bigger problem would be one of the many huge pine trees in the back getting hit by lightning and falling on the house. :P So did anybody else hear all that loud loud LOUD! thunder from the storm? That was around, er, well the entire time. The different thing about this storm sort of to me is that it started around 5 and the fact that it lasted all night until now, it was such a long storm (it actually stopped raining hard at 7ish I think but there's still a lot of thunder and lightning going on) Yawn* I feel like I've gotten up really early but seriously, it's almost 8:30am, this is the time I'm supposed to be up around. I think the other reason I feel like it's really in the morning is because all the lights are still off because mom and Spencer are still asleep. Anyway, I'm off to go feed myself, because I'm not anorexic and I do hope I don't actually "really sound anorexic" :P ....I need to get some malted milk balls, those are so delicious. And now it's raining again.

I'll Lend My Heart To You
TU-bing??? tubing? huh? :P Anyway I got some more music and right now I'm listening to "The Best I Ever Had" by Vertical Horizon. I really like the song, and pretty much all their music. I also got more music by The Goo Goo Dolls, James Blunt, and Maroon 5. Lots of good tunes. I was getting a little bored of the music I already had after listening to it all over and over during our trip. I wanted to add some new song to the mix. Augh, we went to walmart today(we also went to target and kohl's) to shop and we got some more of this "Indulgent Trail Mix" It's soo tasty! It has white chocolate chips, milk chocolate chips, peanut butter chips, peanuts, cashews, almonds, and white and red raisons. YuMMy! Soooo... Er... Um... Oh yeah! A day or so ago I was on etsy(the artisan site where I bought my purple sock monkey named Emma after "The Great Emma" who often visits this blog) and I'd been looking for skirts but I came upon some paintings and there was one I really liked so I printed it out and sort of traced it, although I changed quite a few aspects, and then I scanned it onto the computer and added the black(it's a silhouette picture) on microsoft paint (I know I know, if I'm doing something like this I should really use a better program) Anyway I'm pretty happy with the turn out. I actually kind of like the tracing without the black in it a little better than the filled in one. I kept making little changes to the black one so I have two different styles of hair for the girl in the picture. Here are the pics of the white one and the two black ones:

Isn't that so cute?! Now I'm listening to "Must Get Out" by Maroon 5. I really like Maroon 5, I haven't listened to their music for awhile and I'd forgotten how much I enjoy it. Oop, now it's their song "Control Myself". It's nice too.

Heat Lightning, Hot Houses, and Tiny Pagodas
Home again, home again. How sweet at last it is to be out of the car and home! My only annoyance right now is that the air conditioning upstairs was off the entire time we were gone so it is so muggy and hot!!! Did anybody else last night around 9 or 10 see the sky flashing? I think it was heat lightning or whatever it's called but I'm not sure. Sooooo, did anybody else go to see Dark Night? Just wondering. Oh yeah, I lost a tooth. I now have nine teeth saved in my little tooth container. Wooh! (and yes I have lost more than 9 teeth in my life so far I've just misplaced the other ones) And now the gum where the tooth was is really bothering me. Okay this heat is becoming unbearable, I'm getting a fan. ... ... That's better. It's this nice little Chinese folding hand fan that I got at a stand along with three tiny porcelain pagodas for my zen garden at the Quincy Marketplace. Has anyone else heard that there might be a heat wave coming to our area. Oh yeah, this is kinda funny, my cousin is working on Obama's advance team and helping set up events on his campaign trail and she accidentally slipped and told us where he's going next. And people aren't supposed to know where he's gonna be till he gets there. Safety reasons I guess. Anyway, my lips are sealed.
Also... It is in my most educated opinion that when riding a small but fast boat on a calm day one should maintain a speed no less than 40mph. Now that is fun. Sitting at the front of the boat bouncing on the waves, wind blasting in your face as you speed along the water at 40 or 50 mph. Very fun indeed.
