How Can I Compare
Right now I feel pretty much at peace. I'm glad to be back home with Winston and the rest of the family and to be free from having to ride the elevators at the hotel in Chicago. It's kind of funny, when we were riding down I was kind of okay because usually other people would be on whereas going up it would be just us and at our floor when the doors would open I'd leap off the elevator and run to the room. Even though the malfunction that happened when we were on the elevator before was technical and we were pretty much safe it caused me to realize some things: I dislike elevators(duh), I do not dislike heights(I enjoy parasailing, going on planes, jumping, being tall(haha), I'm pretty okay with heights) I am somewhat claustrophobic(although I enjoy taking showers I've started to get over the fact that I used to really dislike being in the small shower area, I hate being in tight dark places(of course don't we all?) I've always hated being in elevators and now I do even more) I'm definitely not okay with dying(I do not want to die anytime soon :P), and some other stuff. Anyway I'm really overreacting to the whole elevator thing and we were safe and fine and all, but frankly I would not want to get hurt or die falling in an elevator shaft. I'd at least like to die out in the open and without to much fear. Perhaps calmly or quickly. But pshsha I shouldn't be thinking about that sort of thing. Anyway how have all your summers been going? Mine's gone nicely, I'm trying to think of what I want to do today right now though. It's so sunny out I think I should walk with Winston but it's kinda cold. I suppose I will anyway.

Home From The Windy City
We just got home about two hours ago. Chicago was fun. This is a little account of the trip I wrote in my notebook each day there.
Friday
Wow, Chicago is crowded. I'm enjoying myself already just by sitting in the car watching the hordes of people who rush along the sidewalks. So many people going about their business. 8 million people(apparently). Wow.
Later...
I DO NOT want to get back in the elevator. Whyyy!?!? Why did we have to have a room on the seventeenth floor?! You see, we were just coming up to the room in the elevator and as we were going it malfunctioned. It stopped on the 4th floor then went up to the 7th and after lurching to a stop, stayed there. It then lurched occasionally as we tried first to open the doors with the "open door button" and when that didn't work we pressed the alarm button and the doors opened and we rushed off(it was aligned at the 7th floor still) That was so scary. I was just petrified. (More thoughts on the elevator later)
Saturday
Today was pretty good. We went to the Chicago field museum and it was quite interesting. It's nighttime now and I'm heading to bed so I haven't much to write. I'm tired. Night. (May it be known that after visiting the museum we went to this thing called "Taste of Chicago" which is a festival that has food and other stuff. While there I bought a heart shaped rock that has joy written on it. A nice souvenir. We did not, though, get anything else because the lines for tickets to get food were all really long and we were hungry and it was soon to begin raining so we went to the mall, went back to the hotel and then went to get dinner somewhere else. The main reason why the fest was so crowded was because Stevie Wonder was performing at 5:30(which was in about an hour then) and many people obviously wanted to attend.)
Sunday
Today we went to the Lincoln Park botanical garden/conservatory place with tons of flowers and bushes and trees and various other plants, tropical and otherwise. I enjoyed myself a lot and got quite a few pictures. We then needed to catch a taxi after that to get back to the hotel but we ended up instead taking the 151 bus to a street near the hotel and we walked to rest of the way back. We'll be leaving to go home soon.
Later... Or rather.. Now...
So as I said before, we got back about 2 hours ago and yeah. Oh and also as I said before, more thoughts on the elevator incident. That little happening stayed with me for the rest of the trip and I hated having to use the elevators. It scared the heck out of me! Oh well. I'm very happy about getting the heart rock that has "Joy" engraved on it. Soooo, it's late and I'd aught to go to bed seeing as I've done so much this weekend. It feels good to have had this break and now to get to be back home. Sigh* Right now I'm listening to "More" by Matthew West. Good song. ...Now I'm listenin' to "Halloween" by Matt Pond PA. Like that too. But then duh because why else would I be listening to it? Ha. Anyway G'night all.

Chicago Here I Come(reluctantly)
Well, today my cousins Cara and Kelsey and my Aunt Pam came over and swam. It was a lot of fun and I did a henna for Kelsey. Oh yeah, Have I talked about henna yet? Not sure. Anyway I got some henna paste in a cone at a store and I gave myself a few henna tats. Technically it isn't a tattoo though because it lasts only a week or two. Anyway, Kelsey got a broken heart(it was also bleeding or dripping something) I shoulda got a pic of it. It's my best henna so far, obviously though that's 'cause when I do it on myself that's a little harder. Also, tomorrow at 1 we're leaving for Chicago with my Aunt Gloria and Uncle Hugh. Not sure I really wanna go, but oh well. It's not like I have a choice! It something to do at least. Anyway I'm hoping I have a good time or enjoy myself otherwise I may unconsciously begin griping. Ha. Nawwww I'll be good. Psh! Sooooo, uuuuh, I'm gonna go drink some fuze. Fuze is my new fave bottled drink. It's very tasy, and has milk in it so it has to be good. It's fruit juice and milk and I likes it. Have a good weekend all! Oh wait, before I go I must suggest listening to "Drops of Jupiter" by Train. I was listening to it just now on Pandora and I have it on our(my mom's that I use) mp3 player. I really like the song.

Artists At Work
Hi ya'll! Sorry I left you hanging there for, what was it, 5 days? Personally I find that that's really not much. :P Anyway I haven't really been doing anything although on Saturday my Aunts(Georgia and Gloria) took myself and a friend to this little park where a small fest was being held for painters. There was some artwork and a few people scattered here and there in the small park where they sat and painted. So we got to look around at the painters and then went to lunch. The cafe where we had lunch was actually a church that had been converted to an art gallery by Nancy Noel and then a small cafe had been added. I really enjoyed the food. After lunch we went back to look at the finished pieces that the artists who had been painting were going to enter into a little contest they were having. We don't know who won but we'll probably be able to find out somehow. When I said I hadn't been doing anything I suppose I actually meant in the previous week that I didn't post during. This weekend on the other has been sort of full. First my mom went with some friends for a little get together on Saturday(which is why I went to the art fair) and then she was staying overnight at a hotel with a friend and then came back on Sunday. After the art fair we went back to the house and out of a fit of inspiration I painted a picture of some bunnies. It isn't very good but I may take a pic of it and post it later. After that and after having left Aunt Georgia and Gloria came back and we watched a movie. Aunt Georgia then spent the night at our house and mom was back in the morning. Now yesterday, Sunday if you were so unaware, we went to a wedding. The service was surprisingly short(only a half hour long) and the reception was a little dull and monotonous. Not one of the best weddings I've been to. But then, who am I to judge? Anyway the weekend was full, and the previous week was fairly empty. But that's about it. And now I'm off to go do stuff so then I can post about it later to make my blog less boring. First I think I'll brush my teeth. Ta ta!

Food Terrors Part 1: Mad Cows
I really need to get out of the house. Must-peel-self-away-from-computer! I'm not being very productive this summer, and that's fine by me but I suppose I should at least get out of the house. I've been doing a lot of thinking, music listening, hammock swinging, swimming(lots of swimming in my freezing cold pool, we got a new heater put in because the old one was broken but we still won't be able to heat it until an electrician comes to set up a timer for how long it heats, but it's not too bad, it's been hot out enough that the water is around 79 degrees so we've been swimming a lot...ok where was I?), I've also been doing a bit of reading(I am currently going through "Uncle John's Bathroom Reader Plunges Into The Universe"(it's fairly interesting it's fact not fiction but it's a lot of history and science and general interestin' learnin'...it's also fairly thick) ...I really need to get out my paranthesye habits. Anyway I'm gonna head outside and read in the hammock, it's such a nice day. Maybe I'll bike to the flowing well or walk Winston there later. Okay, Okay, out I go, I'm going, must-peel-self-away-from-computer, gasp* pant* pant*. Okay, I'm going. Bye. Seeya outside! =D

Aaaah good times.
Erg, stupid keyboard! It ran out of batteries so I replaced them and then had to reconnect the keyboard and junk. But I was left confused for quite awhile after changing the batteries and not understanding why my keyboard wouldn't work. The confusion lasted until Spencer explained I had to press a button on the back of the keyboard and the button on a controller connected to the computer. Anyway all said and done, it's back to typing. So, I've been on the blog going through all my past posts and reading the comments and leaving new comments. I've realized that I get sick a lot. I have a very poor immune system(likely because of my unhealthy candy eating habits) I also posted some theories about who that anonymous person was long ago. Although I think I already posted those theories more recently. Nevertheless I suggest that, in the case that you have enough time on your hands, you go back and look at all my posts and read the comments. I've posted many a new comment on all the old posts so yeah. My new comments start around February 2007 incase that's what you want to look at. I just found it fun to look at those past posts and see what everyone said, because you can really tell we've all aged in our writing. I have to say when beginning writing on here I sounded awfully dorky. =D

Pig Me
Finally went swimming in my pool! It was freezing cold but I enjoyed it because it was burning hot outside. Let's see, I haven't done much of anything interesting that anyone would want to hear about. Although last night I did put out a trap to catch me some of the chipmunks that inhabit our backyard and this morning when I checked I had caged me a chipmunk. It was absolutely frantic especially since we let Winston out before thinking to check the cage trap thingy, and Winston was trying to get in and attack the chipmunk. I ended up freeing the chipmunk. Poor thing. I'm not gonna put the cage back out again. It was just for fun, even though it wasn't very fun, we really don't have any problem with the chipmunks. Or at least they don't bother me. But now I am convinced that I need a small furry animal, preferably a bunny. Not that I wasn't convinced of this before. Ok, I actually don't need a bunny rabbit, but they are so soft and fuzzy! Earlier this week I was thinking how cool it would be to get a pygmy goat or a pygmy pony. They're about the size of a medium smallish sized dog. I think I'll go exercise. That's one thing about summer I'm enjoying, surprisingly enough, is that I can exercise whenever I feel like it. I'm feeling much healthier. (Even though, in actuality, I'm no healthier than before, because I'm a lazy pig!)
